December has arrived, and so has The Adam Pottery Christmas Open Weekend. Come and join the resident makers on the 6th and 7th December in the Edinburgh neighbourhood of Stockbridge for mulled wine and mince pies, while you look round the Gallery.
This year Anna Brown, Lara Scobie and Janet Adam are joined by three newcomers, Patricia Thom, Andrea Scholes and Geoff Calder. In addition this is a final chance to buy remaining work by Helen Foster and Michelle Aitken.

Lara Scobie
The Adam Pottery was established by Janet Adam in 1983, in the somewhat unexpected location of a tenement basement on the corner of Saxe-Coburg Street and Henderson Row. The pottery houses five independent makers in addition to Janet’s own workshop and studio space.
When you visit The Adam Pottery you will find an exciting array of ceramics, ranging from wheel-thrown domestic ware and delicate porcelain vessels, to a collection of hand-built items and “one-off” individual pieces. Making ceramics for the home and garden, the six makers in the pottery cover a wide spectrum of techniques and concepts, giving some idea of the many possibilities of working with clay.

Anna Brown
The extensive range of work for sale in the Gallery shows the exciting individuality of each maker’s work. With prices from £5 to £500 there is something to suit every budget, but this is only a small part of the whole, as you are invited to look round the adjoining studios, find out more about how we work or even discuss commissioning a special piece.
So why not escape from the crowds in the centre of town and enjoy Stockbridge shopping this Christmas!
Further information about each artist can be found on the website: adampotterty.co.uk
