Alpha Art are delighted to host their annual Christmas Exhibition at their Stockbridge gallery on Hamilton Place. This year sees some firm favourites including Jack Frame, Philip Raskin, Robert Ryan and Ron Lawson. They have a wonderful selection of stunning new smaller gold leaf pieces just in by Jack Frame. A wonderful selection of new work by Philip Raskin and Robert Ryan will also be available.
New artists abound in their Christmas exhibition and they are very excited to welcome them to the gallery. South African abstract Natasha Barnes delights with her wonderful abstract work. The self-taught artist works from her studio in South Africa, where her love of expressionism is evident in her work.

Cornish artist Hannah Ludnow is also exhibiting for the first time at Alpha Art Gallery. Her semi-abstract seascapes are rich in atmosphere and emotions. The Cornish coastline has always been her inspiration, depicting the amazing light, the huge and ever changing skies and the beautiful dramatic coastlines.

Recent graduate Madeleine Gardiner is a local artist hailing from Edinburgh. She completed a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Leeds college of art in 2012, before she Graduated in Painting from Edinburgh College of Art in 2015. Wild spaces, memory and atmosphere are key areas of concern in her work. She often creates composite landscapes, built from memories that she feels are connected through a shared aesthetic.

For that unique little sculpture you need look no further than the wonderful ceramics by Pauline Montgomery. Glasgow based artist Pauline attended Glasgow School of Art, where she graduated with a first class Honours Degree in Ceramic Design. The main influence in her work is the beauty in every day, mundane objects and she is inspired by the way our environment can evoke different emotions.

Award winning photographer Lee Howell is an Edinburgh based artist. Using a combination of photographic capture and postproduction techniques, Lee’s work is distinctive and unique, producing strong, vivid imagery to achieve his trademark style. His talent has won him numerous industry awards over the last few years. He was awarded his Associateship by the BIPP in 2013 after being awarded Best Student Portfolio of the year. In 2014 he was awarded Scottish Professional Photographer of the Year and Scottish Commercial and Advertising Photographer in 2015.
