Dance For All, located on St Stephen Street in Stockbridge, has been a much loved part of the Edinburgh dance community since its establishment in 1985. Renowned for its commitment to excellence in dance education, the school offers a wide range of classes, workshops, and intensive programs catering to dancers of all ages and levels.
Under the leadership of Principal and Artistic Director Tracy Hawkes RTS ARAD SDS IdB(1), MEd, Dance For All has become Scotland’s leading vocational dance college. Tracy, along with an esteemed faculty of dance tutors, brings years of experience and expertise to the studio, ensuring that every student receives top-notch training in various dance styles, techniques, and performance skills.
The school boasts a diverse curriculum, encompassing disciplines such as RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, Modern, National, SDS Spanish Dance, Contemporary, Commercial, Jazz, Choreography, Aerial, Bollywood, Acro, Singing, and Musical Theatre. Whether students aspire to pursue a professional dance career or simply seek to explore their passion for dance, Dance For All provides the necessary training and support to help them achieve their goals.
The studio’s full-time Professional Dance Course, accredited by the HND in Professional Dance Performance in collaboration with Edinburgh College, offers comprehensive training in dance techniques, performance skills, and teaching qualifications. Graduates of the program emerge as versatile performers and dance educators, equipped with the skills and credentials to succeed in the competitive dance industry.
In addition to its educational programs, Dance For All also offers Studio Hire services, providing spacious, well-equipped studios for rehearsals, workshops, and events. With two large studios featuring wooden sprung flooring, mirrors, and barres, Dance For All provides the ideal space for dancers to practice and perform.
Moreover, the school’s students and graduates are available for Dance Hire as performers and instructors for various events and occasions. From flash mobs to gallery openings, the studio’s talented dancers can elevate any event with their exceptional skills and artistry.
