Jimmy Martin Travel has been awarded the title of Scotland’s Best Small Travel Agency for the fifth time – and the fourth consecutive time – in the influential Agent Achievement Awards. Jimmy Martin Travel, which celebrated twenty years in business during the pandemic in 2021 is based on Raeburn Place in Edinburgh’s Stockbridge.
The Agent Achievement Awards, organised by Travel Weekly are the UK and Ireland’s biggest and most prestigious celebration of the travel trade, recognising the achievements of travel agents. Unlike many awards where firms can self-nominate, the Agent Achievement Awards rely solely on feedback from trade partners. Jimmy Martin Travel also scooped the Best Small Scottish Travel Agency award in 2010, 2018, 2019 and 2021, making it the most celebrated Scottish agency in the Awards.
Jimmy Martin, owner of the agency says of the award, “After the tumultuous period of the pandemic, followed by the travel disruption of recent months, this is a very welcome piece of good news. Jimmy Martin himself has more than 40 years of experience in the travel industry. In 2021 his career came full circle as Jimmy Martin Travel acquired Frutin Travel, where he began his career more than 4 decades ago as the ‘brochure boy’. The acquisition is part of expansion plans to develop and grow the agency’s reach across the city.
