The whole team at Speak Out Languages is feeling very grateful. Thanks to the ongoing support and willingness of learners to switch to online learning during the pandemic, Speak Out is now in the fortunate position to be able to welcome learners back to the language centre on Great King Street in Edinburgh’s New Town. Just in time to get travellers ready to travel confidently and safely.
Has anything changed?
Yes! The whole set-up is now different. There is space for 6 learners to sit comfortably 1m apart. The windows and doors will be open to allow full ventilation and the centre is sanitized after every class.
Does that mean the end of online learning?
No! Speak Out is planning to continue its offerings online, as well as moving some classes back to the language centre. During the pandemic, new clients were able to join the classes from London, Glasgow, Aberdeen, France and further afield. Zoom worked well to enable lots of speaking practice, so these classes and more will continue online.

How can I find out more?
Speak Out’s new term starts the week of 16th August. French, Spanish, Italian and German classes at all levels are offered, focussing on building confidence to speak.
