Those Were The Days Vintage Boutique on St Stephen Street are celebrating their second birthday on Saturday 22nd of June and they would like to say ‘thank you’ to all their lovely customers and friends by inviting everyone in the area for a glass of bubbly between 1pm & 6pm. They are promising lots of gorgeous new summer stock for you to see and are treating everyone to 10% off purchases made on the day.
As ‘To Let” signs spring up outside businesses across Edinburgh how refreshing it is to see a shop celebrate their second birthday. When Claire Paterson fell victim to the recession a few years a go and was made redundant she decided to follow her passion for Vintage Clothing and use the disappointment of her redundancy as an opportunity to fulfil a life long dream and open a Vintage Boutique. A brave path considering the economic climate, but Claire’s eye and love for vintage fashion have enabled her to create an outstanding collection of vintage pieces spanning the 1920’s to the 1980’s, sourced from buying trips to London, Paris, New York, LA and Miami. There are stunning creations from high-end designer labels such as Chanel, Givenchy, Oscar De La Renta, Pierre Cardin, Leonard, Versace, Moschino and Valentino, to the iconic labels of Ossie Clark, Biba, Mary Quant, Louis Feraud, Lilli Diamond, Jean Varon, Norman Hartnell, Diane von Furstenberg and Burberry. The vintage labels of the high street are also widely represented in their collection. Those Were The Days Vintage has something to cover all price points and all occasions.
The Boutique is set in a basement shop on St Stephen Street, a hub of Galleries, Boutiques, Bars and Restaurants. Just ten minutes walk from Princes Street and supported by an excellent public transport service, this is the perfect hidden gem in the heart of Edinburgh.
