After 15-years of friendship, collaborating at a prestigious Holy Corner salon, Steven Wilson Suckling and Lisa Allen embarked on an exciting new chapter together. In July 2020, they co-founded WilsonAllen, a boutique hair salon located on Raeburn Place in the vibrant neighbourhood of Stockbridge in Scotland’s Capital city.
Together, Steven and Lisa bring over 35 years of combined experience to WilsonAllen, both holding the title of L’Oréal Colour Specialist. Their services encompass a wide spectrum, catering to both women and men with offerings ranging from traditional hairdressing and barbering techniques to innovative colouring and styling.
Throughout their careers in the industry, Steven and Lisa have been fortunate to work together on numerous projects. From photographic and fashion shows to styling for the MTV Europe Music Awards. Both have earned accolades within the industry and possess extensive expertise in cultivating exceptional talent. Moreover, their commitments to charitable organisations such as the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Little Princess Trust are notable, as they have provided services to countless people in need.
Recently, the WilsonAllen team welcomed Stephanie Fairlie Morgan and Rosy Kenny, both renowned senior stylists, who bring a wealth of experience from leading salons across the city. Fully qualified as L’Oréal Colour Technicians, Stephanie and Rosy further enhance the salon’s expertise and service offerings.
While launching a new business during a pandemic wasn’t ideal, the opportunity arose to set up on Raeburn Place, and they recognised it as the perfect location. Their plan was simple, to establish a salon that would delight their clientele.
Since the salon’s inauguration in July 2020, Steven and Lisa have been touched by the support of the Stockbridge community. They extend their thanks and appreciation to everyone who has made them feel so welcome.
