Newly formed dance group The Belly Dancing Divas, will be teaching Egyptian style belly dancing at Dance For All, Studio 2 on St. Stephen Street. The first classes will take place next Wednesday, September 20th from 8pm to 10pm. These introductory classes will be free and open to all levels.
Egyptian belly dance is noted for its controlled, precise movements. Terms that are often used to describe the Egyptian style of dance are elegant, smooth, graceful and full of emotion. During the class you can relax into the music and enjoy the drum beats, moving your hips while a middle eastern rhythm makes your body shimmy.

Fruzsina Judith Pasztor
Belly Dancing Divas have two lovely teachers. Fruzsina Judith Pasztor and Sophie Elekes. Fruzsina was taught by Wallner Marta Shaba, a Master of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies with over ten years experience in the art of the belly dance.
“Belly dancing has a special place in my heart and I would love to share this love with other people. From an early age I studied standard ballroom dances, latin American, salsa, bachata and kizomba. I became a Zumba Fitness instructor too. Our new belly dance classes in Stockbridge will take you away from the everyday rush. It will relax your mind and train you body.” – Fruzsina Judith Pasztor

Sophie Elekes
Sophie Elekes fell in love with belly dancing many years ago when she first enrolled into Katalin Breban’s class. Katalin is former Miss Belly Dance of Europe and won Cairo’s Nile Group Festival. Sophie’s own style is heavily influenced by Katalins’ Khaligi, Shabby and Saidi style and from her time at the Nieto Mercedes dance school. Mercedes has her own style which is dynamic, delicate and very sensual. Since enrolling in her first belly dance class Sophie says she has found her true passion in life.
Belly Dancing Divas will shake every Wednesday 8pm – 9pm and 9pm – 10pm. The first class is for the beginner and the second for improvers. Feel free to try out both.
