Botanic Lights is set to return for a third year this October/November, with almost a month of enthralling nights at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE). Due to the popularity of the event over the last two years and following a run of sell-out shows in 2015, audiences are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
2014 was the first time the Garden opened to visitors at night for the outdoor light experience, which resulted in record attendances and over 23,000 visitors flocking to the event to experience a unique display combining light, sound and nature. Last year, over 26,000 tickets were snapped up as visitors were treated to a spectacular show combining all the seasons. Audiences are anticipated to increase further for Botanic Lights 2016 as visitors attend the event crowned winner of the Scottish Event Awards 2015 ‘Best Large Event’.
Organisers RBGE and Unique Events are keeping full details of the Botanic Lights 2016 installations under wraps, but reveal that visitors will embark upon an all-new journey of light around the world from the US, Chile and around the tropics to China and Nepal, exploring the regions from where the Garden’s plants were collected to the places its scientists carry out important research and conservation work today.

Tickets are priced £15.00 for adults, £7.50 for children under 16. This year, tickets are available for family parties, priced at £27 (family of three) and £40 (family of four). Groups (10+ adults) pay £13.00 per person, infants (0-2 years) and carers go free, but still require an event ticket.
