The Blossom Theatre Project

The Blossom Theatre Project are an Edinburgh-based organisation working with children and young people to nurture their creativity, confidence and talent through exciting, innovating drama classes being held weekly in Stockbridge on Mondays.

The classes are tailored towards 7-12 year olds, with a 7-9’s class being held at 3:35pm-4:55pm, and a 10-12’s class at 5:10pm-6:30pm on Mondays at the LifeCare Centre on Cheyne Street in the heart of Stockbridge.

“Our goal is to create a safe, energised and supportive space for children to thrive through the magic of theatre and drama, focusing on boosting their self-esteem, finding their voice and most importantly having FUN!”

The Blossom Theatre Project’s classes are available across the city in the Edinburgh neighbourhoods of Stockbridge, Morningside and Portobello. The classes are led by Hannah Parkes and Carly Wilson, two likeminded, professionally trained actors and performers.

We understand the importance of child development, not only in childhood, but also into early teenage years, and have experienced first hand how vital performing art classes can be in contributing to this development. Drama not only looks at performance skills, but also gives children an outlet for self-expression and the space to explore their imaginations through creative play.

Carefully tailored to different age ranges, our classes aim to grow real confidence and self-awareness, develop social and communication skills, instil a sense of excitement and wellbeing, and nurture creativity and a passion for drama.

Our classes are always a safe space to explore, be creative, grow, learn, and be loud! And most importantly – have fun!”

The classes explore acting, storytelling, movement, team-building and games, improvisation, comedy and much, much more.
